After only its first staging, USA Today likened JFDF to Miami’s wildly popular South Beach Wine & Food Festival, Yahoo! advised its readers, “If you travel to only one festival this year, make it the Jamaica Food and Drink Festival…”, and the Gastronomy Network under the Ministry of Tourism identified JFDF as one of the key drivers to develop Kingston as a Destination city.
In 2021, the JFDF won the World's Best Culinary Festival and the Caribbean's Best Culinary Festival after going up against countries like Dubai. That year, the Jamaica Food & Drink Company also launched the Jamaica Food & Drink Kitchen – Kingston’s only kitchen studio that offers cooking, baking and mixology classes for all levels or have fun sipping cocktails while creating inspired culinary concoctions, all guided by an all-star line-up of local celebrity chefs.
2024 celebrates the 10th year of JFDF this November 2024!

In 2006, CB Chicken introduced its PAN Chicken Competition to provide opportunities to those who make their living by providing the ultimate street food – PAN Chicken!
In 2006, PAN saw a crowd of just 1,500. Today, the food festival welcomes over 30,000 patrons and has become a staple on the national calendar, attracting locals and foreigners alike.
Through our ongoing partnership with the Social Development Commission and other PAN Partners, we have impacted the lives of over 300 entrepreneurs. Built into the programme are workshops, training seminars and employment opportunities, and we’re proud that many PAN participants have gone off to start or further develop their own business.

Training farmers is a crucial aspect of promoting sustainable agriculture, improving food security and enhancing rural livelihoods. Jamaican farmers rely on us for up-to-date, credible information on agriculture, animal husbandry and best practices. As a trusted partner, our Newport team is committed to being 'right here' for farmers and are easily accessible through digital platforms and in-person visits.
We host regular seminars and workshops year-round on a wide variety of topics such as artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and animal health and nutrition. Seminars are designed to balance theoretical knowledge transfer and practical experiences, so farmers leave the session upskilled and empowered.
